"Nemo Malus Felix -- No Rest for the Wicked."

Have you seen the Hellsing OVA and/or Read the Manga? How many volumes have you seen/read? (We recommend that you have seen up to OVA 6 or read up to Volume 6 of the manga): Aye. All the volumes, and all available OVAs.

"I trust no one, not even myself."

Name: Kirei Shikei Fujimoto; Formerly, Hideharu Fujimoto.
Alias: Thanatos

Age: 88 years of age.

Apparent Age: Primary[Default] Form - 24, Secondary Form - 15

Gender: Male

Race: Vampire - True Nosferatu

"When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you."

Affiliation: Hellsing (Ex-Millennium)

Rank: Operative (Formerly Military Attache holding equivalent rank to a 1st Lieutenant)

Personality: A curious soul. One might question whether he is of sound mind and body, at times, but will be assured that he is of perfectly fit form in both aspects. It might have to do with his grim demeanor, introvert-like qualities, and overall a seeming aura of suicidal tendencies. Not quite: He's just a little too busy caught up in his own thoughts to usually think about you or the fact that you're analyzing him. In fact, he's often so engrossed with whatever it is he may be doing that he can entirely ignore just about anyone, and everyone. From his indignant boss yelling at him to quit slacking, to enemies on the battlefield happening to strike his body with lots of bullets, Kirei is just ... empty-minded when it comes to it all. At least, it'd seem that way from the outward observer, and given he is one of the few virtually unkillable species in the mortal realm, he doesn't tend to worry much about the consequences of not paying attention to his surroundings.

When his focus is brought back to reality, one may note that he's quite an amiable person, compassionate and gentle. Rarely does he ever express anger, though annoyance is common. He's incredibly patient (when not spacing out), and very much rational, counterbalancing what emotion he has with ironclad reason. So, while he can be kindly, there are distinct undertones of icy rigidity, which definitely leave a negative impression to most people he meets and speaks with. All in all, though, he means well and cares a lot more for people than one would assume (though he's not an idealistic person, either). Do note that despite his overall positive and endearing personality, he's not above or against harsher language (though he won't use it in excess, now).

His sense of morals has not been entirely perverted, it most certainly has a lot of grey zones and flexibility than the common person, but no denying that he adheres to some sense of right and wrong. In fact, though it took him some time to adopt such beliefs, it was what caused him to break free of the Millennium's control of him, though he did pay quite dearly for that. Now you could say, he vehemently opposes Millennium's goal, due to the inanity of it all ... that and he finds it all revolting. Unfortunately, he's still not against consuming copious amounts of blood, and not merely to deal with the anemia that he has inherited, but only to sate the ever-growing bloodlust.

The only individual he truly and unconditionally trusts and loves is what amounts to his vampiric parent, through genetic material: Adelaide von Sommer. Perhaps it's due to a wretched past of his he tends not to talk about, ever, since the glory of his country took first priority. Or maybe, it's because she's completely unlike any other of those maniacs in Millennium. Either way, he loves her dearly, in a platonic, familial sense . . . and longs to insure she can be free from Millennium's control. Beyond that, he's very unlikely to open up fully to most people (he will be courteous and polite to them, provided they aren't from Millennium), and ... has this nagging fear of lycanthropes. It annoys him, the fear that is, since he's not sure why or even how it came to be, but he's very, very much agitated when in the presence of another werewolf. The only one of that species that has a truly adverse affect on his composure is the Captain. Due to some accident, probably, and a resulting traumatic experience (not of the Captain's fault), Kirei is constantly afraid of the Captain, and he will cower behind any large object or wall just to avoid seeing the Captain. For some reason, the Captain is like the boogeyman to him, and he cannot justify why (nor does he want to give any possible explanation, probably because it's rather humiliating for him).

Appearance:

-24 Year Old Appearance-

Kirei stands at 5' 11'', with an overall lean frame. Though, don't let that spindly form fool you, he's got a whole lot of supernatural strength to back up his limbs. Next, a mophead mess of black hair adorns his head, grown out to a moderate length, but not excessive. If one checks closely enough, they might see that there are a number of gray strands mixed in with the common black color, though . . . it's unknown if that was just a trait Kirei picked up after being turned, or if he actually already started getting grey in his twenties. Carrying on, the twin orbs through which he visually perceives the world have brown irises. Those tend to turn crimson (or just blood red) whenever Kirei is aggravated . . . overcome by bloodlust. Sadly, the latter is more likely to occur than the former. His skin also takes on a rather pallid color, giving him a sickly complexion. Though, he tends to make use of his naturally frail appearance to put others at ease ... and for some, that makes them easier to dispose of. The noteworthy fangs are just that, protruding and sharpened implements meant to puncture flesh: They are located in his mouth (Duh), and really are not displayed prominently ... after all, Kirei doesn't smile with his teeth. Usually. Unless he puts on a slasher smile, or is genuinely enjoying himself. Or wants to scare the living crap out of an unfortunate person. Additionally, he is right-handed.

Since this form is an emulation of what he appeared as, when he was twenty-four, there's also a nice clean cut down his left eye, a scar more accurately, from his forehead down to the jaw. Now, it doesn't affect his vision (especially since he's a vampire), but he wanted to remain faithful to his actual appearance, so that detail stays. (Also gives false impressions, which he's fond of doing, at times).

Attire: Style is the game that Kirei likes to play. Formal attire is the means, and such he is rarely seen without an almost formulaic set of clothes. Now, as to what exactly that set is going to look like varies as often as the clouds move and change shapes, since they tend to a) get ruined in his line of work or b) get los)t in his day-to-day lives. So, he makes up for that by getting his hands on as many different sets as possible. You'll never see him, when not heading out for a combat situation, without suit and tie . . . and maybe a cane for good measure. Though, he sticks out like a sore thumb, at times.

Now, when he's out to go kick some ass, he's not going to be going out in fancy outfits and killing people in them. Not really. Sometimes he forgets, and it happens, but more often than not, he'll have switched over into a nice black-with-grey-mottled body armor and clothes. Yes, he's a vampire. Yes, he likes to wear a kevlar vest. He does not care if you complain about it, he likes to wear it. If you make him not wear it, he will go ninja on your ass. And given he likes to move, when it's dark, and his clothes are a number of shades of dark grey and black, I think he'll have a nice time hiding himself (not in the middle of nothing, but still). The emblem of Hellsing is emblazoned ... somewhere. It's just that it's been swapped with a faded (grey) version and harder to spot on him, due to be a couple sizes smaller than the original. If you must know, he wears it proudly on his chest. By the time you realize it, he's probably got his hands around your throat.

-16 Year Old Appearance-
Take Kirei, shrink him by half a foot (5' 5"), let his hair grow out a little more and even more so unruly (and lacking signs of grey hair) and you have what he looks like when younger. Sans scar down his face, I might add. He's also more likely to actually SMILE while in the younger form, so expect him to be trying to weird a lot of people out that way.

On the attire side, Kirei'll usually not enter battle or a situation where combat is a necessity in his younger form (unless circumstances, strangely, demand him to), so all that's meant to be covered is casual attire. And he does dress casually. Unlike his older self's tendency to dress magnificently (and also impeccably), reverting back into a teen form seems to have also re-awokened some long lost adolscent mindset against the stiff conventions of society. That, and it's incredibly strange to see a person of that age in such elegant and sometimes elaborate clothes such this his primary form dons. So, casual is the way to go. And he's not picking. He's known to wear torn/worn jeans as well as intact ones, plenty of print t-shirts with interesting ... things on them (images, text, and other fun and/or creative things to draw attention). If out on a stroll, and intending to enjoy some cold weather, he'll walk around with just this basic (and necessary attire). If just musing about (or going incognito in his younger form), he'll add a black or grey hoodie on top ... and keep that hood on.

"Invincibility lies in the defense;
the possibility of victory in the attack."

Choice of Weaponry: No guns. He shoots himself in the foot too many times. He's known to carry a baker's dozen of grenades to launch at people, where they are and how he makes them randomly appear is none of your business. Just know that they're simple fragmentation grenades, pin and all, and he usually doesn't throw more than one at a time ... it's implied they're lodged somewhere inside his ethereal shadow/blood forms, though, how-when-where-and-even-WHY are unknown.

He's also in possession of a single KA-BAR combat knife, manufactured in roughly 2005 (he assumes) and taken from an unfortunate mishap when engaged by members of the United States military while abroad and negotiating with ... certain ... individuals for Millennium's sake. The timing was just unfortunate, and a few brave men would not go home whole after that, and one had their respective knife swiped by Kirei. Though, this is only used if he doesn't wish to tear people apart with his hands.

Which know leads us into learning he is primarily being an unarmed/hand-to-hand combatant, making use of his racial abilities to remain a deadly force in battle (despite perhaps being outgunned or outnumbered)

Abilities:
-Racial Abilities-

Regeneration - Befitting of his class as a True Nosferatu, Kirei can heal from virtually any wound made by any cause astoundingly quickly ... but it should be noted that his regenerative powers are rather crippled in terms of speed. The potency and speed of regenerative powers usually increase as a Vampire progresses through the ranks, but unfortunately to Kirei, while his regeneration will heal him completely, the time it takes is somewhat extended. Therefore, he can 'die' or in more accurate terms, be incapacitated and will require some time to regenerate back into a 'living' condition. Cuts, burns, scrapes and mostly skin damage to light flesh damage heal instantly to a whole round of posting (depending on severity), deeper wounds such as those of bullets, disembowlment, impalement, or skeletal damage take from one to three(also depending on severity). Loss of limbs can take from two to five, depending on how much flesh and bone was lost(compare if he had his hand chopped off and incinerated to his entire arm ripped off and used to club him with). Decapitation, besides ripping out his heart, is the simplest means of incapacitating him, taking a whopping six rounds to recover from, that number also equates to a full-body regeneration: So even if he was burnt to ashes, or smashed into a pile of blood and guts, he can and will regenerate in that period of time. His regenerative method is similar to that of other True Nosferatus, simply regrowing limbs or just instantaneously closing wounds and removing traces of damage from blood-like substances or a darkness-esque material, but again, is delayed - an unfortunate side-effect by the means which he became a true vampire, a hereditary blood disease in the blood transfused.

Immortality - Without the slightest question, he possess a being of nigh-perpetual existence, being able to regenerate from just about nothing of his original self remaining. The question remains as to what powers this regenerative property, and therefore sustains the immortality, to which Kirei has been led to believe it is souls: The number of victims his own fangs have drained to nothing. If that is true, then he fits the bill of being an immortal, having lost count of the souls from the sheer quantity of blood he has consumed. Unfortunately, not all of these souls were consumed out of necessity, as he has developed quite a ravenous bloodlust.

Very, very high superhuman capabilities - Exactly what it says on the tin.
Strength - Absurdly high, as is the case with all True Nosferatus. Essentially, if one so wished, they could squeeze a human being's skull into talcum powder with minimal effort. Kirei here happens to be strong enough that a full-force blow of his would leave quite an impact and a VERY noticeable imprint of his fist in most materials ... or actually, just about any material. Yes, even reinforced alloyed tungsten steel. It wouldn't break it, but it could very well damage it. The issue is that with this massive strength is the unfortunate fact that it extends beyond Kirei's body's physical limitations, so going full force tends to ... oh ... rip apart most of the muscle to shreds and leaves him writhing on the floor as a riddled mess of pain. Combine that with his delayed regenerative ability, and ... well, he tends to not go all out.

Speed - Kirei is more than quite capable of dodging bullets. To achieve this feat, he must be able to travel at no less than 300 meters per second to dodge most lead bullets. His average speed is roughly 450 meters per second, just about 1.3 times the speed of sound, and he is more than capable of achieving such speeds consistently, given he has a moment to get into motion. Due to the abnormal strength his body possesses (and by extension, its durability), he often suffers little to no ill effects at travel at such speeds. In a moment's time, starting from rest, he is quite capable of moving absurdly fast, just not at the average. Still, so long as the enemy has not put out a steady stream of bullets, he can close short distances within fractions of a second and proceed to maul enemies. Unfortunately, Kirei is not one to exploit his inane physical strength and speed, as doing such often kills his opponents and ... under most circumstances, he just prefers a good fight over a slaughter (the exception being the enemy is Millennium affiliated). Issues concerning this supersonic travel is that constant movement at the average (also the technical maximum) does eventually build up enough strain on his body that he may be rendered immobile for a time to recover.

Senses - All pushed to the maximum. Take the absolute threshold that a human is capable, and multiple it by a factor of ... five? And you basically have Kirei's capability. Primarily in sight, hearing, and smell. Human threshold (50% chance of being able to detect/perceive) of: Sight - Spotting a candle flame, in clear weather conditions at night, roughly twenty miles away. Hearing - Listening to the tick of a watch in a completely silent room, twenty feet away. Smell - Distinguishing a single drop of perfume in the volume of a three-room apartment.

Familiar Summoning - A) Animal Familiar: Black Mamba. Kirei can also shapeshift to assume the form of one. B) Doppelganger(s): Although they are the victims that Kirei has drained before, they are molded in this circumstance to appear identical to him, acting as handy substitutions or distractions if need be. And they cannot 'be killed' in the conventional sense, always liquefying back into blood and returning to the source upon suffering a certain amount of damage. Ordinarily, only one Animal Familiar is summoned. Up to two Doppelgangers can be summoned, and remain in perpetual existence until a) Kirei loses consciousness, b) they are dismissed, or c) they take a moderate amount of damage. It takes about a bout/round/post to call forth a familiar (meaning multiples will never be summoned together).

Doppelgangers can also be set on a 'stand-by' mode, where they are in existence, but reside at Kirei's feet, giving the sense that his shadow is present. In actuality, he always has a Doppelganger on 'stand-by', meaning it's either his Familiar is his current shadow, or he's in the shadow with his Familiar acting as a decoy. Or, see below.

Familiar/Body Substitution - With the Doppelganger familiar. An instantaneous process in which the body of Kirei can be swapped out in place for a nearby Doppelganger (given that both are composed of whatever essence it is that makes up Kirei himself). Also useful for avoiding damage, and moving to another location as quickly as possible. It merely requires a Doppelganger familiar to be in an active state. Even the stand-by that's in his shadow. Unfortunately, only one doppelganger can be preset on stand-by upon entering a topic: But since it takes just a post to summon another Doppelganger, he'll always have one active, and may place it in his shadow, to use as direct decoys. KIREI WILL NEVER HAVE MORE THAN TWO DOPPELGANGERS PRESENT Maximum distance that can be between Kirei and Doppelganger to use this ability is 100 yards, or the equivalent of on american football field.

Ghoul Creation - Kirei's not above turning his enemies or their corpses into Ghouls and then using Ghouls against his enemies. Upon feeding a non-virgin, presumably dead at that point, it will take a two-round wait until they become a functional Ghoul. He has slight control over his Ghouls, in terms of directing them where to go and what to specifically target, but beyond that they're just used as canon fodder. They have no unique characteristics beyond normal Ghouls, and require substantial conventional ammunition to put down or minimal blessed ammunition to eliminate. Any Human (NPC or PC) that is eaten by a Ghoul is also converted into a Ghoul, the process is also a two-round wait after the living individual dies. (Immolating the body or thoroughly destroying it before the transformation completes is another means to avoid having to deal with Ghouls)

Gravity Defiance - Like the Vampire who sired him, he is more than capable of perform absurd feats that defy the laws of nature and reality. This includes walking up the side of walls, standing upside down from the ceiling and all that jazz. His personal use of the trick, though, is to keep himself aloft in the air, a seemingly be rooted to an invisible platform in the skies above. He cannot continuously defy gravity, though, unlike his 'master' and most other True Nosferatu (must return to level surface within a couple of posts, or else he starts falling).

Cyrokinesis - The ability to manipulate base energy in surrounding molecules, namely absorbing/depriving those molecules of thermal energy and thus causing them to phase change. It's not an immediate process, but it is a very noticeable process. If active, it'll only take about two rounds before a severe temperature occurs (bitingly cold). At that point, formation of fog begins to occur, due to all water vapor in the immediate area beginning to condense into water droplets (Naturally, if the area Kirei is in has a low concentration of water in the area due to whatever topographical and meteorological reasons, fog won't form) and if forced to progress another round, one will find themselves blanketed in a large layer of it (3). Should two more rounds progress, the temperature will reach or drop below the freezing point of water, causing formation of ice crystals: It's around this point that Kirei's cyrokinetic control becomes less refined. Snow can and will fall, and depending on the natural weather conditions, it may become a blizzard and blanket the whole place (5). If allowed to progress another round, the snow becomes hail. Hail pieces will be the size of large marbles by default. (6) The immediate area affected is spherical, with a radius of 50 yards and his current location as the center. Upon selectively beginning this ability, Kirei must be incapacitated to halt it or forcibly bringing it to an end. If neither of those two events occurs, then the area about him will continue to grow colder until hail begins to fall. at which point the temperature ceases to drop and hail will only shower down provided there's enough moisture in the air to support it.

All other standard Vampiric powers - Immunity to Conventional Weapons, Blessed Weapons, and Silver; High tolerance of Holy Water, Garlic, Sunlight and all things religious; Capability of surviving travel across large bodies of water (by sea or by sky) without needing to rest in a coffin. Third Eye/Capability of seeing past standard illusions and detecting other supernatural creatures. Transforming into a large, amorphous mass of darkness and blood. Shapeshifting into animals (or assuming the form of drained individuals). Inducing hypnosis or casting illusions on those who do not possess third eye or sixth sense abilities (Very weak or simple effects). Capability to create a Fledgling Vampire (from a Virgin). Sadomasochism. Immense bloodlust. Lots of Hamminess, when riled.

And the ability to randomly disappear inside a building and magically appear out of somewhere approximately on the other side of the building in less than a few seconds without going through rooms. In other words, he naviagtes sewers, ventilation shafts, and hidden corridors like a barracuda through water. Oh, and he's a lethal chef. Don't let him get to the kitchen. Ever. Even STEPPING into the kitchen will make the ingredients rot and the food turn sour. Dining room? Sure. Kitchen? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Alright, so. You poor sap, who wanted to know about me. You just effectively crashed D.A.R.C. entire's hard drive. Wiped it mostly clean of all records, info, and just about everything else. You've erased all traces of this back-up node, and now you're in deep. DEEP SHIT, because you've walked into one hell of a mess.

Pardon my French, but I'm quite frankly annoyed that you, yes YOU! . . . Dumbass . . . Walked into such a god-damned obvious trap. D.A.R.C. covers its damn trails too well, so I, Thanatos, had to leave some obvious bait for you, per orders. And you TOOK THE DAMN BAIT! YOU GRABBED THE DAMN THING! WITHOUT HESITATING!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?

-

Alright. So even as I encode this message that's part of the whole application that's slowly sending the files you were trying to access to hell, I suppose I can be civilized. Your life is effectively forfeit, and I may as well throw you a bone: You looked up my file. You took my ruse and lure, and walked into this mess. Least I could do is tell you want you want to know. It'll have to be short, though, since the FREAKs are probably closing in on you, with SWAT teams that have sold their souls to a man worse than the Devil.

So, have some solace that you're right: There is an ancient undead battalion of Nazis wanting to destroy the world. They're not so much zombies as Vampires, actual blood-sucking vampires. And I am one of them. Everyone in D.A.R.C. is part of that battalion, codenamed as "Millennium".

But enough about the group. Chances are, you hunted down D.A.R.C. either because of Millennium, or the VIAL that's being distributed around the world. And, in your attempt to try to enter the backdoor, you tried prying through my history to see if you could find the key to said door.

-

Let me explain. I am not a Nazi. I am not even German. I was just one hell of an unfortunate member from Imperial Japan. A man who served as what amounts to a commissioned officer, and got sent off in 1944 to that god forsaken country to investigate the Nazi's purported 'biological' experiments. God. Help. Me. The mess I got mixed up into. I was sent off to DIE. I was sent to be a walking test subject, to see if Millennium's FREAK procedure would work on various ethnic groups.

I! Who had done nothing wrong to deserve this! And yet, I was sent off with orders known to investigate, and orders unknown to be used in such a large number of unethical experiments, even most depraved scientists would wince (Except those who are IN Millennium).

.

Long story short. I got lucky, I didn't get subjected to the standard FREAK procedure. Nope, they wanted to take one of their highest-ranking Vampires they had amongst the ranks and try combine their blood and biological material to me. Joy. Doesn't quite work out, as planned: I'll say it now. It hurt like crazy. Inducing vampirization through such means comes with the possibility of rejection, as transplanting organs and marrow from a donor to a wounded or ill person do. And when your body rejects the material from a vampire, god it hurts. As though hell itself resided deep within you, fire and brimstone coursing throughout every bit of your body. Acid, eating away from the inside. Everything being rended and mutilated. Made worse I probably received various god-knows-what from who-knows-how-many-people.

And to top it all off! I lived. Big surprise, huh? Considering I'm typing this out for you to read. And that occurred about seventy years ago. God. No. Wait.

Hahahahah! God? Why am I calling on his name? I'm a freaking bloodsucker. My fangs are sharper than ever, my eyes shine crimson, and my blood. Oh this is rich. My blood? Constantly needs changing, apparently one of the 'donors', the one whose stuff properly melded with me, has sickle cell anemia. Oh joy. I will say: Imagine being in pain for all eternity, and there's not a single thing you can do about it even though you're an immortal, constantly regenerating DAMN VAMPIRE! That's what I'm stuck with. Pain, pain, pain, pain, and oh look, SOME MORE PAIN! It doesn't matter how much blood I drink, the pain's not going to go away. For cripes sake, I pop pills dry just to keep myself from going crazy!

Oh wait. I think I already did go crazy. I went crazy the moment I didn't take a damn gun and shoot my brains out.

But . . . Whopee-de-do-dah! And now I go around, an immensely powerful vampire, even more so than the FREAKs, doing Millennium's bidding. I just do, since there's no place left for me. It doesn't help that they have/provide as much painkillers and blood as I need ... and besides, I've been dead, officially, for so long, that there is no life for me left. Fortunately, D.A.R.C. seems like a promising thing, hence why I'm royally screwing you over right now. It's been a sad life, but I've gotten used to it. It's not like I have a choice, with this damn chip. And this damn anemia.

Story of my life. Did you enjoy it? Since I think yours will be coming to an end, soon . . .

Right. You. You who tripped this obvious trap. Good news. I'm sane again. I've seen the light. I know who is my 'Master.' ... Well, okay. Technically, I guessed it was her, due to that damn anemia! But I never got the chance to confirm it until just now. So, yeah. Adelaide Von Sommer, the other major scientist in Millennium besides the Doctor. Who knew? Surprising thing about this, though, is that it wasn't like she wanted to cause suffering. No.

That sick **** Dok. He just took damn samples from her, carefully. It's the only way. That, or someone helped Dok do that, but. Either way, she didn't give up her blood and marrow voluntarily, and that arschelocke Dok's the bastard who put it in me. It's not hard to put two and two together, you know? Either way, it explains a whole lot. Explains why I always listen to her . . . and probably why- Wait. No, rambling. I'm rambling.

Anyhow, so. Yeah. My mind's cleared up a little (Thank God), but I'm still as ****ed up on the inside as ever. Big news. How many people have I killed, up to now? Due to needing blood? Due to not wanting to die because of this damn thing? . . .

-Adelaide von Sommer. She gave me my freedom. Just to let you know.

Not all the people in Millennium are the heartless, soulless fucks you think they are. (Enough with this self-censorship bullshit I've been doing. You're mature enough, you silly person who took the silly turkey leg dangling from the ceiling) At least, she's proof that there are some decent people, just mixed up with the wrong group of people.

- - - Oh. Right. Back to what I was saying, you're probably out of time, so. She saved me from the hellhole that is Millennium. Spent some time to figure out where that chip was, and eventually ripped the damn thing out before I could get fried. She gave me a chance, to escape and be rid of Millennium. . . .

Now, I give you a chance at salvation. Namely. I'm probably going to screw with the FREAKs headed your way. Don't ask how I'm going to do it, just know that I will. All you need to do, is run. Run and get out of there, while what's left in this batch of data takes care of the rest. Just know that I'm out to smash Millennium to the ground. For her, and to anyone else who've suffered at their hands.

I'm a free ... vampire ... now, and I intend to use that freedom well. To make sure these disgusting remnants don't get to do anything as crazy as they plan, break them apart so I can get her and anyone else caught in that mess out of there.

Now. Go on and live, would you? If you're out on a vendetta as well, then find me. I'm sure you can. I'll be pulling all my strings to start running Millennium to the ground. The Last Battalion will be reduced to nothing, and I WILL see that through! Oh, and a nice little going away present for you, too.

Have a nice life, now.

. . .

He made it this far. One flight, from New York City to London. Fortunately for him, the day he choose to try to sabotage D.A.R.C. was also the day his flight was scheduled to England. It was always England, he always had business there. Seriously, it wasn't funny! There were so many people hooked on the FREAK procedure or on the new VIAL drugs or so many who had heard and were interested, it'd be a matter of time before the entire island-nation would be overrun by pseudo-vampires! Fortunately, Hellsing had already begun a crackdown on that mess, and ... well ... he, being one of the primary dealers on behalf of D.A.R.C. and thus Millennium, would be able to provide them much information pertaining to this whole mess.

Thus would begin his long, long path to redemption. Or something like that. Either way, he knew exactly who was dealing what, and where in this country, so he'd be a good informant for Hellsing . . . hopefully that meant they could trust him.

'Yeah ... right ... hah. Trust me. Someone who's been a part of the Millennium for decades, and suddenly defected. If only things worked out so simply in reality . . .' mulls the fellow, who merely straightens out his suit. It seemed odd, that he, a creature of darkness and the night, went out of his way to wear an all-white outfit (exception of the light-blue shirt and darker tie). With gloves. Eh, not that it mattered, no one really gave him any stares, not at him nor his clothes, nope. No one. Except for a whole group of people waiting for the arrivals with no sign in sight and all dressed in black trenchcoats and wearing thick shades to hide their eyes.

One of them was smiling, oh so wickedly, letting the fangs show.

'Right! If only escaping from what ammounts to a terrorist organization with informants and hitman all over the world could be so much easier. Just. My ... luck.' Kirei groans to himself, he had only one carry-on bag (he liked packing light), so that made fleeing all the more convenient. But still, they were in a highly public place . . . they couldn't possibly try to think about causing trou-

"Spoke too soon . . ." he curses under his breath, as all of the fellows, most likely FREAKs employed by Millennium, started whipping out a wide assortment of military-grade, most certainly illegally acquired and unlawful to be in civillian hands, automatic weaponry. The defector, not wanting to see if they were just terrorists or idiots out to try to take his life, decided to just let his Doppelganger rise up from the shadow. So, people were screaming at the sight of guns. Now they were screaming at the sight of twin white-dressed monsters fighting against armed terrorists.

Seven FREAKs to one traitor. He liked those odds, just as he closed what distance there was between him and the aggressors. The first one didn't seem to be expecting such rapid movement, as he was just disengaging the safety of his weapon. Kirei was, by no means, a firearms ethusiast and could not identify the gun, but that didn't matter as his right hand slammed into the face of the FREAK, and the severed head went flying back a bit.

'To heck with going incognito.' is the sole thought, as he starts moving, again, to avoid getting shot at. It wasn't hard, considering he could leap into the air and walk on it, but even then, he could move quick enough on ground to avoid getting aimed at, in the first place. The second was dropped with a swift kick in the groin, and a follow-up elbow strike to the back of his head (he did feel his elbow get buried in the skull ... so). The third and fourth were shoved into each other, just as the fifth accidentally peppered them in bullets. That one met Kirei's suitcase right in the face. The sixth, just as bright as his friends, also tried shooting at him, and had a nice kick into his inner thigh to throw him off-balance and then the defector's other leg swung forward for a direct blow to the chest.

'Well, that was easier than I thought . . .'

Or so he assumed, as he lost count. The seventh had been careful to stay behind him, where he DOESN'T have eyes, and although he could detect these FREAKs' presences, he couldn't distinguish them exactly. His senses didn't work like that, but he did register the gunshots. And tried to move out of the way, but . . . it's hard to dodge something coming from behind you, more so if you can't see it.

-Doppelganger Switch-

And his viewpoint shifted. Instead of standing around a whole bunch of wasted FREAKs (and one really dead one, decapitated and all), he now back to his original position. His doppelganger familiar had stayed put, instinctively avoiding bullets so as not to disperse, while he went out to go kick some serious ass. Even better, the FREAK that had tried and successfully shot him in the back was in front of him now. Directly in front of him. Kirei could only imagine his expression as the familiar that took those bullets disintegrated into a mass of blood and darkness, and started drawing towards both Kirei and the FREAK.

Hell, he didn't need to imagine this, he just needed to twist the asshole's neck a complete one-hundred and eighty degrees and he could see the bastard's expression, just fine. Although, it seemed to be one of pain mroe than anything now, so he probably didn't get to see the original expression before killing him. Or ... does that make any sense?

Ah well. This was a warm welcome to London. Now he needed to get the heck out of the airport, or die.

' . . . This is going to be a long day . . .' he sighs to himself, definitely not pleased by the present circumstances. But, oh well. He'd be killing a lot more FREAKs and maybe V-FREAKs, if all went well. So, he could just think of it as job training. . . .
