Having been in the foulest of moods for the past two days, mostly due to severe bouts of working her ass off for a change, the Millennium nurse was thrilled at the proposal to leave the research center for a little bit for a little shopping excursion. Nothing quite cures work overload better than a new pair of shoes, or eight. It was just the sort of thing she needed right now, because if she had to spend another full day sitting around a laboratory, she couldn't promise that she wouldn't stick her face into a vat of acid. The urge was more tempting that you could ever believe.

Seemingly oblivious to the glares of disapproval as she pushed herself through the store entrance, shoving past some grubby teenage with the world's most god awful tan job, Fausta was anything but inconspicuous in her white latex trench dress, belted very tightly at her waist and just barely covering the bare minimum of her lower half. On top of her head, her fiery red locks were pushed back into a very loose knot behind her head, a few of the shorter locks falling to frame her round face. Aiding in her constant struggle to add a few inches to her minuscule height, her shining white ankle boots were a good four inches high, just enough to make her average height for the day. But her height would probably be the only "average" thing about her.

Stopping in her tracks before a sales rack, the woman decided to let her companions catch up with her, as it seemed she got a little overexcited and trekked ahead of the pack into the store. Folding her arms underneath her bust, her white gloved hands cupped under the opposite elbow, she tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for them to catch up, staring up at a rack of floral dresses, her pointed nose wrinkled in disapproval and her green eyes narrowed forward. How she hated the flowery prints.

"Can I help you find anything, ma'am?" Fausta was caught by surprise by a sales woman who had crept up on her, staring at her wide-eyed and overly eager. She only returned the expression with a vacant stare, resisting the urge to click her tongue and lash out at the desperate young sales lady. "Ja, do you haff anyzhingk in latex, or rubber?" She asked. She had grown quite a fondness for the fabrics after she had been introduced to them by her boss, Herr Doktor, during the war. The woman only blinked at her, staring over her shoulder at another group who entered the store. She promptly swiveled her way around Fausta, retreating to the safety of other people.

It wasn't hard to see them coming, when they did. The pair were pretty damn obvious, but especially the man. He was well over six and a half feet tall, and was wearing a drivers cap, and an olive drab greatcoat that looked like it was gernuine army issue from about fifty years ago. His hair was wavy and blonde, and his eyes a piercing blue. He was. . . huge. And parting the sea of people easily for the much frailer looking woman behind him.

The woman behind him looked to be in her late twenties, and had a willowy build. She was paler than death -literally as white as a sheet, and her eyes were light blue. Her hair, which was honey blonde, fell down her back in waves to her knees. She was dressed fashionably in a gucchi ruffled pencil skirt and a prada blouse, while her shoes were round toed black stilettos with red soles. She wore a scarf over her hair and sunglasses and looked like a model of some kind. Her limbs were all slender and shapely, and she was fairly tall, with a narrow waist. Also she clearly had a body guard. The two made their way over to the red head in no time, as no one wanted to get in the coated man's way. "See anysing you like, Fausta?" asked the woman.

Giving another dissatisfied once over of the store, she sniffed silently at the air around her. It smelled like a mix of fruity perfumes, middle-aged hags, tanning lotion, and freshly washed cotton. None of which were very pleasant to her senses. Years in a laboratory make you grow to love the smells of preservatives and other various chemicals. Twisting her neck around and up, she stared back and forth between Adelaide and the Captain, pausing a moment at the stoic bodyguard. As much as she objected to his presence under the situation, she bit her tongue. Sure, the tall man's silent stalking mode was really annoying, but better safe than sorry when it comes to the doktor's well-being. It wasn't as if Fausta could fight off any attackers, god forbid somebody actually did try to attack them.

Breaking free from her small train of thought, Fausta blinked down at the blond woman at her side. For a moment, it seems the nurse had forgotten where they were. "Ah, not yet. This all looks like children's clothing sized for adults," she remarked, her disapproval painted very heavily across her face as she tried to stared down anything good. "I believe zhe shoes are in zhe back," she announced, waving her arm behind her as she marched off down the walkway, hinting for them to follow along with her.

The Captain followed after Fausta, silent as ever, but made sure Adelaide was no more than a few steps behind her; she was, after all, one of the few people in Millennium that he actually cared about. Ada was strange, he had always though, for even though she was young compared to him, she always managed to be somewhat motherly.

Freezing in her tracks as Ada's words caught up to her ears, Fausta turned around abruptly. "You know...." She added, her words trailing off as her mind retreated in on itself. Oh yes, this would be just perfect. If Fausta's body reflected her inner thoughts, she would be rubbing her hands together in a diabolical manner, with the possibility of little horns sprouting from her head. But this was not a cartoon, and she calmly placed her hands upon her full hips, giving a faint nod of her head. "Zhat isn't a terrible idea. Here, zhe men's section ist upstairs. Let's not vaste any time," she sung, leading the way once again in a different direction. In her head, she was already coming up with whatever outfits would look perfect in her mind. She couldn't help but let that deviant smirk creep across her red lips as she began to ascend the staircase, not even pausing for a second as she made her way to the top, wandering off into the men's clothing.

He looked to Ada with a slight glare as if to say, "Oh great. Now what have you gotten me into?" He huffed a sigh and followed begrudgingly after Fausta.

"Zhere's really nozhingk quite like shoppingk to relive stress. Vell, aside from ozher zhingks zhat ve von't talk about right now, Fausta remarked halfheartedly as she began tearing things off of their respective racks as she weaved her way through the isles. She scanned over everything with a vigilant eye, grabbing the most promising objects and shoving them backwards, motioning for the Captain to hold each item that she threw at him. A pair of mustard yellow pants that looked small enough to fit a young girl, an itchy brown sweater, a few sweater vests. No, she wasn't going easy on him. "Oh ja, ve'll make you look much better," cooed the girl as she chuckled softly to herself.

The captain arched a brow at some of her choices, huffing a sigh and instead paying attention to the things Ada was picking out. Dress shirts, turtle necks, slacks, blazers, ties, polos. . . At least ONE of these women wasn't a sadistic freak. He seriously wondered what he had ever done to Fausta to deserve this. . .

Having already plowed her way through the entire men's section of the store, Fausta paused to asses the pile of clothing that the Captain was holding onto. "Ja, zhat looks like enough for now. Off to zhe dressingk rooms vith you," she ordered, pointing a bony finger over to the wall of doors where the men all tried on their selected items. She might have felt bad for the poor man. "Might" being the key word here. But no, this sort of cruelty wasn't all too personal. Watching someone squirm was just a daily requirement. "Hm, I doubt zhat, Adelaide. It's so hard to find vhite around zhis time of zhe year," she mused quietly, examining a male specimen over by the dressing rooms, one of her eyebrows quirked. It was hard to have secrets when all of your thoughts are displayed fully on your face, but Fausta shrugged off the thought and continued to mentally remove his clothes. First the shirt, then the glasses, next would be the pa-

"Shoes?" That caught her attention rather quickly. Prying her eyes away from her own personal show, Fausta wiggled over to the little doctor, examining the offered shoes. Stiletto heel, white, with a round, red capped toe. Definitely not a bad choice, but were they in her size? That was always an issue. Snatching up the pair of heels, she twisted them around in her hands, searching for the little number of fate. On the side, she found a little "6" printed in gold. Ah, what a beautiful thing. "Ah, splendid. Zhey're zhe right size!" The girl couldn't help but cheer as she hugged the shoes to her chest.

"I vill be right back, I'm goingk to go ahead und check out vith zhese," Fausta informed the pair, holding up the pair of shoes and shaking them over her head. She didn't bother waiting for a go ahead or any sort of response before she turned and swayed off in the direction of the nearest register. However, she didn't get very far. On the very outskirts of the men's clothing section, a very loud, irritating ringing began to emanate from the front pocket of her trench dress. The sudden sound had taken her by surprise and as a result, the little woman yelped loudly, dropping the shoes onto the floor before she realized it was only her phone.

Grumbling a few offensive words to herself, she snatched the electronic device out of her pocket and pressed the necessary buttons to shut the damn thing up. Still blocking the isle, the shoes scattered over the floor, she flipped open the little red phone and read the notice on the inside. Rolling her emerald eyes as she closed the phone with a loud 'snap', the nurse headed this time towards the nearest exit. She had some personal matters to attend to. Yes, it meant ditching out on Happy McSick and the silent guy, but this was far more important than waiting around to watch her fall down some stairs. Which, although it would be satisfying to see, it could wait.
