SPELL CHECKED VER~

Have you seen the Hellsing OVA and/or Read the Manga? How many volumes have you seen/read? (We recommend that you have seen up to OVA 6 or read up to Volume 6 of the manga). PLEASE NOTE that the original 13 episode anime is NOT Canon! You must have read the manga or watched the OVA: *Snorts* What do you think? Of course I have. All of it, the Dawn, and Crossfire.

Name: Vlad Dracula. . . or that's what they used to call me. Now they call me Alucard.
Aliases/other: Vlad Dracula III. Vlad Tepes. The Count. Dracula. Vlad the Impaler. Zamiel. Bird of Hermes. No Life King. The Impaling Prince.

Age: 580

Apparent Age: Mid thirties. Most of the time.

Gender: Depends on the mood.

Race: No Life King. The True Nosferatu.

Affiliation: My loyalties lie with my Master, Sir Integral Hellsing, leader of the Royal Order of Protestant Knights, The Hellsing Organization

Rank: Trashman. Servant. Operative. Hellsing's Trump Card. The No Life King. Ultimate Vampire. Monster. King of Vampires. True Immortal.

Personality: On a normal day, Alucard can usually be found hanging about the mansion and being a bother to Integra. His default expression is a smirk - a contemptuous, haughty one. He's better than you and he knows it. He's full aware of how powerful he is, and fears almost nothing, including death. Despite his teasing, he's undyingly loyal to his master, Integra Hellsing, and has a small affection for his creation, Seras Victoria. He feels a camaraderie with Walter Dolnez, and has "befriended" a few of the other hellsing operatives. He's often mischievous and darkly humorous. He is a monster, and he knows he is. . . but sometimes he envies humans, and he most certainly admires them, especially the ones like Alexander Anderson. Their tenacity is unrivaled, and they make it through such adversity. . . The things that make them human are the things he wishes he still had. . . but he chose to discard his humanity, and became what he is now. He believes that only a human can kill him, and he desires it. He believes that it takes a man to kill a monster, and refuses to be slain by anything less than just that. He views giving up as THE worst sin, as could be seen in Rio de Janeiro when a member of the Polica took his own life rather than fight him. He would not give up, and that is how he became what he is. Seras Victoria chose not to give up, and that is why he made her what she is. Disloyalty and treachery is also among the greatest sins, as it is said in the Inferno.

When on the Hunt, Alucard is gleeful. He follows his Master's orders with no small amount of gusto: if it is her will, it shall be done. He doesn't care who or what he has to kill, be they innocent human pawns or category A vampires in service of Millennium. He is a monster, and thus he can kill, and will kill any and all of them. But only if Integra orders it. And he takes an immensely carnal gratification in hearing her give those kinds of orders, and has admitted to being aroused by such in the past. He is a hunter, and he's a good one. He often crushes the hopes of his prey before then crushing THEM and quaffing of all their lifeblood, making them one with him.

Appearance: Alucard's appearance is completely fluid. He can look like whatever he pleases. However he does have a few that he sticks to most of the time.

The first is a tall, slender man with black hair. His hair changes appearances, but the face stays the same. His jaw is angular, and his nose straight and pointed, and . His lips are often curled in a smirk, and when they part they reveal sharp, almost shark like teeth. His attire is generally a black double-breasted suit with matching riding pants and dark brown riding boots. Under the suit coat he wears a white dress shirt and an ornate red cravat. Over all of this he wears a red duster coat with a ruffled rain flap, and adorning his large hands are white gloves emblazoned on the back with the Hellsing seal. He usually has a wide brimmed red fedora perched atop his head with a light red-buttoned strap near the brim.
In this form he also sometimes wears a black dress suit with red tie and black dress shoes, or a belted black body suit. He almost always wears red-lensed wire sunglasses, with blinders on the sides.

One of his other forms is that of a young girl, about twelve years old. She dresses in a white suit with a white shirt underneath. Her shoes are white as well, and she wears a white-fringed scarf, a white overcoat, and a white furred pillbox hat. Her features are smooth and her skin like marble, while her wide eyes are a glowingly bright shade of red.

The other form he has been known to take is that of a tall, muscular man in armour, both quilted and, plate and segmented. He wears a tattered red cape, and his jaw is covered in rough stubble. Somehow there is almost a kinder look in his red eyes in this form, despite that he is imposing with his armour and large great sword.

Choice of Weaponry: Alucard is known for using two guns in particular. The first is the Hellsing Arms .454 Casull. The .454 Casull Longslide is the first weapon ever made by the crafty hands of Walter, the Butler of the Hellsing mansion. Its 39cm long, with a barrel length of 27cm. It weighs in at 12 pounds, or six kilograms, unloaded. It fires the hefty .454 Casull round, which is ususally used for hunting big game such as elephants, tigers and lions. However, the weapon´s length and weight makes the recoil very comfortable and the gun is well balanced, despite its huge forend. The .454 caliber round has been modified to be even more powerful, increaseing its lethal potential by giving it explosive warheads with light armor pierceing potential. They all have been made from melted down crosses of english churches.
The weapon itself is a mixture of various pre-WWII weapon designs by John H. Browning, such as the distinct shape of the Colt 1911, the double action trigger, hammer and the slide rod of the High Power pistol, and finally the grip of a Colt 1903. Its been made of carbon steel, with a stainless steel finish and oakwood grips to finish the look of a match pistol. The weapon also lacks any type of safty device, be it the typical grip safty of the Colt 1911 or even just a safty lever. When the chamber is loaded and the trigger is pulled, a shot goes off, everytime.
As for the internals, it uses linkless barrel to slide locking as per tradition for Brownings pistols, the mechanisim itself is a Browning-Petterson offspring, which can be found on most modern pistols nowadays. Two massive lugs hold the chamber airtight while the shot is fired. The barrel is made of damascus steel, with a golden titanium finish on the outer barrel.
While the gun only posesses simple, non adjustible ironsights, it is pinpoint accurate over an impossible distance for most pistols and Alucard has shown to be accurate with it at lengths of over one kilometre.

The Hellsing ARMS 13 mm Auto Anti-Freak Combat Pistol, Jackal (usually referred to as simply "The Jackal") is Alucard's second gun. This piece of art is also made by Walter, although this one, unlike the Casull, has no registry number on it. While it bears resemblance to some pistol designs, it is entirely fictional, and some of its stats are downright ridiculous.
Its 39cm long, like the Casull, it also has a 27cm barrel, although its barrel is entirely made of blued titanium. Its made of a mysterious black metal which has it weigh in at an impossible 26 pounds, or 13 kilogramms, which would equal to a Dillon M139 Minigun without accessories. If one would so believe, the entire upper reciever is made of composite explosives, as a radio controlled bomb inside the weapon is capable of blowing the entire forend to pieces, leaveing only a part of the handle intact.
Its design is based on no real life firearm, although the grip has a strong resemblance to the Desert Eagle, being of possible influence due to a similar sized caliber being fired through it. The upper reciever is a single block of steel, which holds a traditional Colt 1911 type mechanisim inside it, with an entirely internal slide rod. However, unlike the Colt, no trace of it is seen at the front end, and as such, it remains a mystery how this weapon would be disassembled.
It sports the same, High Power style hammer as the Casull, and unlike its sister weapon, it also has the milimetre sights of the High Power Carbine installed, which is never used due to Alucard`s inhuman aiming skills, but would provide for sniper grade accuracy. According to Walter, it holds six shots per magazine, and unlike the Casull, it does feature a Colt 1911 type thumb safty.
Another queer thing about this pistol is that it only ejects to the right, for left handed operation only. Two massive bolt lugs hold the cartridge in place, like the Casull.
The ammuniton is driven by the entirely fictional Marvells NNA9 gunpowder, a more or less subtle reference to Marvel Comics. The 13mm warheads are explosive, filled with mercury, made of a silver hollowpoint and have an armor pierceing tip, something which would be impossible to manufacture, let alone safely feed and fire through a pistol in real life. These bullets apperantly have the power to bounce off of walls instead of explodeing on impact as it is seen in the fight against Luke Valentine, and they somehow manage to negate Alexander Andersons Regeneration. As they have been specificly created for that very purpose, a mockery of Anderson´s signature gloves is engraved into the slide of the weapon: "Jesus Christ is in heaven now", implying that the lord won´t come to save him.

Abilities: Alucard has all the abilities denoted to him by his classification as a True Nosferatu. He can change forms at will and make reality bend in ways not thought possible. He defies gravity to the point were it seems not to exist, and has a host of familiars millions strong. His strength is unbeatable by all but an elder werewolf, and he can move faster than you can blink. He's a deadly accurate shot, and does well in close combat as well. He has the ability to shapeshift into mist, bats, or a dog, and his regeneration is near instantaneous [1-2 posts for limb loss and decapitation].

Biography:

A long time ago, there was a place called Walachia. A boy lived there. His name was Vlad, and he was a prince. When the Turks invaded, he was captured, tortured, raped . . . but he prevailed through his own will and faith in God. He became the King of Walachia, but his rule was short-lived as Hunyadi himself now invaded Walachia and restored his ally Vladislav II, of the Dănești clan, to the throne. He eventually fled to Maldovia, where he was under the protection of his uncle. However, his uncle was assassinated and he fled to Hungary. Impressed by Vlad's vast knowledge of the mindset and inner workings of the Ottoman Empire as well as his hatred of the new sultan Mehmed II, Hunyadi reconciled with his former rival and made him his advisor.

After the Fall of Constantinople to Mehmed II in 1453, Ottoman influence began to spread from this base through the Carpathians, threatening mainland Europe, and by 1481 conquering the entire Balkans peninsula. Three years after the Ottomans had conquered Constantinople, they threatened Hungary by besieging Belgrade. Hunyadi began a concerted counter-attack in Serbia, while he himself moved into Serbia and relieved the siege. He there died of the plague. Meanwhile, Vlad led his own contingent into Walachia, reconquered his native land and killed Vladislav II in hand-to-hand combat.

When he returned to Walachia, he found it in a disturbing state; constant war had resulted in rampant crime, falling agricultural production, and the virtual disappearance of trade. Regarding a stable economy essential to resisting external enemies, Vlad used rather severe methods to restore order and prosperity.

He did many good things for his country in this time.

However, he considered the Boyars the main cause of strife as well as of the death of his father and brother. To secure his rule, he had many leading nobles killed and gave positions in his council, traditionally belonging to the greatest Boyars, to persons of obscure origins, who would be loyal to him alone, and some to foreigners. For lower offices, Vlad preferred knights and free peasants to Boyars. In his aim of fixing up Walachia, Vlad gave new laws punishing thieves and robbers. Vlad treated the Boyars with the same harshness, believing them guilty of weakening Walachia through their personal struggles for power.

The army was also strengthened. He had a small personal guard, mostly made of mercenaries, who were rewarded with loot and promotions. He also established a militia or ‘lesser army’ made up of peasants called to fight whenever war came.

Since the Wallachian nobility was linked to the Transylvanian Saxons, Vlad also acted against them by eliminating their trade privileges and raiding their cities. In 1459, he had several Saxon settlers of Brașov impaled.

The Pope soon called for a crusade against the Ottomans, a cause to which Vlad gladly allied himself. The war went well for the most part, and Vlad was very capable. His successes were lauded by the Pope himself.

However, Vlad III's younger brother, the highly capable Radu Bey, and his Janissary battalions were given the task of leading the Ottoman Empire to victory at any expense by Sultan Mehmet II. As the war raged on, Radu and his formidable Janissary battalion were well supplied with a steady flow of gunpowder and dinars; this allowed them to push deeper into the realm of Vlad III. Radu and his well-equipped forces finally besieged Poenari Castle, the famed lair of Vlad III. After his difficult victory Radu was given the title Bey of Walachia by Sultan Mehmet II.

Vlad III's defeat at Poenari was due in part to the fact that the Boyars, who had been alienated by Vlad's policy of undermining their authority, had joined Radu under the assurance that they would regain their privileges. They may have also believed that Ottoman protection was better than Hungarian. It was said as well that Radu (through his spies or traitors) found the place where some Boyars' families were hidden during the war (probably some forests around Snagov) and blackmailed them to come to his side.

By 8 September, Vlad won another three victories, but continuous war had left him without any money and he could no longer pay his mercenaries. Vlad traveled to Hungary to ask for help from his former ally, Matthias Corvinus. Instead of receiving help, he found himself arrested and thrown into the dungeon for high treason. Corvinus, not planning to get involved in a war after having spent the Papal money meant for it on personal expenses, forged a letter from Vlad III to the Ottomans where he supposedly proposed a peace with them, to give an explanation for the Pope and a reason to abandon the war and return to his capital.

He'd been betrayed.

He was set for execution after ten years along with many others. . . But. . . He did not die. He was forced to the ground, covered in blood, and he heard it whisper to him: "Drink. . . Drink. . . Drink. . . And so he did. In refusing to die, and accepting the promise of the blood, he became what he now is. He managed to escape, and re-conquered Walachia, ruling for a long time under many different names. . . Until a man named Jonathan Harker came to his door.

You know Dracula, by Bram Stoker? Well, that's pretty much how it went down. And he became enslaved to Abraham Van Hellsing and his family for the rest of time . . . Or at least until he dies.

He witnessed the beginning of the Royal Order of Protestant Knights, and served under it obediently.

During the Second World War, he was sent to Warsaw, Poland, with a 16 year old Walter C. Dolnez. his coffin had smashed right into the Major's table, and while Walter bantered with them, he roused himself from a lazy sleep. The Major and Dok left, leaving their obedient Dog to fight Walter. 'Hmmmn, I haven't seen one of his kind in a very long time. . . ' Alucard thought to himself as he started to fully wake up. Finally he started to take his form. He remembered the astounded look on Walters face when he assumed the form of a 14 year old girl dressed in a white suit and coat, with a fluffy white hat, and fringed edged scarf.

"Haven't I told you that physical form means nothing to me, Walter?" she asked. Walter told her it was about time and to get off her lazy ass and help him fight the dog. Well, of course she explained she was a VAMPIRE specialist, and CLEARLY he was not a vampire. She had looked to the Dog who had transformed into a humanoid wolf. "It seems he doesn't talk!" she exclaimed. "Maybe we need to speak dog language to him?" She suggested. She grinned manically and started barking at him, only to quickly find that she had been kicked in half by the werewolf. Now, this surprised her, to say the least, and she collapsed into a puddle of black goo, before reforming herself and riding out of the room on her coffin. She and it slammed the doors behind them and each had a cigarette when suddenly a young woman ran up to them, blathering about the enemy, and that she had on the wrong glasses. SO of course, Alucard had to explain that she WAS the enemy. . . the girl didn't really seem to get it until she finally understood and went to shoot her, but the coffin judo chopped her in the shoulder and knocked her out. Well, now it was time for the real fun.

She went around the complex, destroying everything and everyone she could get her hands on, before eventually returning to his usual form. He had almost cleared the place out when he came upon a room full of scientists. There was one in particular though. She was thin and had her long blonde hair done up in a braid. He would never forget her, or the sense of agonized hunger that emanated from her. Not to mention how powerful she seemed. But she just stared at him, petrified as he killed all her comrades. He was standing before her, a smirk on his face as she stared up at him in wide-eyed horror when he had the most unpleasant experience of being blown up by an RPG. . . The vampire who had fired it quickly ran in and grabbed the terrified girl, who had fainted, and ran out.

That was about when Walter showed up, and they proceeded to destroy the rest of the facility.

Later on they met a Man named Viktor and his pet Werewolf. He was quite skilled, and Walter and Alucard convinced him to come back to England with them, but he refused to come without his pet, so they let her come too. Arthur wasn't exactly happy at first when they came back +2, but when he saw what the two could do, he was more relaxed.

At some point, Arthur decided to lock Alucard up in the basement. Too dangerous or some nonsense. Didn't want him around his daughter. He went into a state of hibernation after having starved for so long. The first thing he remembered was tasting blood. . . Hellsing Blood . . . Virgin blood. He quickly disposed of the threats to the one he recognized as his master, and then she shot her uncle. The rest was history. He went back to doing his job. Walter was old now . . . Alucard found a sort of beauty in it. He was really beautiful now, in his agedness.

He reunited with Lorelei and Viktor, and was sent to Badrick, where he met Alexander Anderson, his wonderful archrival. During the attack on the mansion, he sat back and let Lorelei and Viktor do most of the work. He was amused when the troops pulled back - he supposed those two were just too ferocious.

After Integra hired the Wild Geese, he was sent to Rio de Janeiro, where he had a splendid fight. . . that is before the dog showed up and scooped Alhambra right from under his nose. He had fumed quite some time after that.

After that things were back to business as usual until that girl - the one with the musket from Poland, commandeered a ship. He wanted to go deal with it, but his master said to wait it out. So they did. And then Ambushed her and her little buddies when they came sailing down the Thames. Once again that DAMN DOG showed up and saved some of his prey. Again, he fumed.

Since then it has been quiet. Too quiet. He knows his master is extremely anxious, and he has his questions about their newest member - a defector from Millennium, Kirei Shikei Fujimoto. He is wary of him, although he is filled with that same hunger as the scientist from Poland, which intrigues him very much so.

Sample 1: The Rio Incident
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

"Heh. . . hehe. . . I thought you had me there for a second, Tubalcain Alhambra!" laughed the vampire. He was bleeding everywhere, but his opponent was worse off. He rose to his feet with a broad, toothy smirk, looking at the dandy man, whose legs were both broken , and one of his arms was slowly regenerating from a stump. He started to slowly clap as he advanced on the Malandro, whose expression was one of pure fear. "Bra-vo, Dandy Man. Really, That was well done," he said. Finally he stood over the downed card shark. He reached a hand out to grab him by the face when suddenly. . .

-WHAM- A figure impacted with the roof, causing it to crush in beneath its feet. AS the figure rose and the dust cleared, Alucard growled. "You . . . the Werewolf from Poland. . . "

The Captain started to walk towards Alucard purposefully as the vampire started to grin. "Still no words, Dog? Should I try speaking your language again? WOOF! WOOF WOOF!" he cackled. Suddenly he felt that familar feeling of combat boot meeting his gut; but this time, instead of going straight through him, it launched him off the edge of the roof. "CUUUURRRSE YOOOOOOOOoooooouuuuu . . . " he yelled as he fell.

Sample 2: The Interview, Feat. Kirei and Integral Hellsing
HELLSING HEADQUARTERS, LONDON, ENGLAND

Integral hellsing sat behind her desk, looking over a file, and rather much NOT looking at the man who was sitting in front of her. "Kirei Shikei Fujumoto. . . . " she mused. "Former member of Millennium . . . Is that correct?" she asked, looking up at from her papers at him with cold blue eyes.

"That is correct, Sir Integra." he answers, calmly.

"And I am to believe you are not a spy because. . . ?" she asked, raising a brow.

"I would not believe I am a spy to your organization, since no spy is asinine enough to approach the enemy completely unarmed, while intentionally carrying sensitive files and data pertaining to their ... parent ... organization. That, and I've been attacked by more than twenty armed FREAKs in this country the moment I got off the plane in the Heathrow, Sir Integra." he responds, composure not broken once, and still maintaining a respectful tone.

She casually drew a cigarillo out of the case on her desk and cut off the end with a distinct and slightly disturbing -SNIP!- She lit it after a moment and took an inhale of the noxious smoke.

"Hmp," came a contemptuous voice from above. Alucard floated upside down from the high ceiling ontil his face was level with Kirei's. "Millennium is smart enough to pull off such a thing as a ruse. For all we know, all of the information contained within that folder is false, and all of this is just a very clever ploy."

"Not that clever, Alucard," said Integra.

The young man in white was visibly shaken by the sudden appearance of the No-Life King. Well, visibly, as in his eyes widened a bit and he tried backing up (but only succeeded in pressing himself further into the seat). Still, he knew this sort of reasoning was bound to occur. Now, he needed to break out of it, somehow.

". . . One week ago, in New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, several offices licensed under a pharmaceutical corporation called the Dawning Age Research Corporation were destroyed by explosions. The D.A.R.C. is a sub-group within Millennium, to which I was placed under as one of many guards to the scientists stationed there.

All the information given to you right now, comes straight from their mainframe. No tampering was done. If you cross-apply what is there, you'll find that D.A.R.C.'s research logs and its distributors' schedule coincide with the emergence of several pseudo-Vampire uprisings. Incidents in which your organization was called to deal with. That should at least prove the information is legitimate.

Now as to how I prove I am not a spy . . . the incident at D.A.R.C. offices was not planned by Millennium for any reason, nor was it completely accidental. I went out of my way to acquire all the explosives used to blow out those offices. If I must, I suppose I can describe in detail, what exactly had been used, how I acquired it, the names and oeprations of those I acquired it from, along with over forty-six names and faces of drug lords I have acted as liason to, through D.A.R.C. to distribute that damn drug that's creating all these new 'FREAKs' . . ."

Alucard made himself right side up and stood over Kirei. "Your FREAK chip. It's reporting everything back to them as we speak, is it not?" the Nosferatu demanded. "We are not fools, which you apparently think we are, Kirei. Shikei. Fujimoto." There was a slight snarl on his lips and the look in his eyes was a dark one.

"The Monster raises a good point. If you had tried to escape from Millennium, they would have just killed you on the spot. Therefore, you must be a spy. And even if you are not, you are unintentionally spying on us anyway." Her tone and demeanor was completely calm and level, unlike Alucard's.

The man in white blinked a bit. Had the discussion really come down about the chip? That was now the primary concern? If he wasn't afraid of what might happen to him if he did, he would have burst out laughing. "Ahh. Yes. The chip. It's less a 'FREAK' chip so much as a monitoring device they try to insert in all their operatives. But, I'd think that- and I apologize for this statement, No-Life King- you would be able to tell the difference between a 'FREAK' and an actual vampire. . . . . . .

. . . I did have that tracking chip, once. But, it's been removed. The one who sired me, though unintentionally, is listed in that folder as D.A.R.C.'s chief scientist . . . Adelaide von Sommer. She removed the chip from me, after she found out I was her kin. A sort of . . . reparation for being forcibly turned into a Vampire from World War Two."

"Of course I can tell the difference between a vampire and a FREAK. You must be a real idiot to think otherwise," said Alucard with a sneer.

Integra thumbed through the file. "This file is extensive. . . Says here that she was the only one of her team to survive the incident at Warsaw. . ."

Suddenly a look of realization and surprise came onto Alucard's face. He quickly turned and moved to Integra's desk, looking at the file upside down. That picture. . . he knew that woman. . . He knew this feeling that he was getting from Kirei from her. . . That sense of insatiable, incurable hunger. His eyes scanned the file. Age Unknown. . . Significant contributor to the Wehrwolf, FREAK, and VIAL projects. . . Sickle Cell Anemia. Blood and marrow donor for. . . ". . . Kirei Shikei Fujimoto. . . " The words came out a whisper.

"What are you muttering about now, Alucard?" asked integra with an arched brow. "You look. . .dare I say. . . Surprised?"

"A lot of things that never made sense, suddenly do," he said softly, turning back around to face Kirei. "Master. . . I do not think he is a spy." A smirk came upon his face. "Very stupid, perhaps, but not a spy. Besides, we could just put him in an MRI machine and have it rip the chip right out if it still is inside of him."

"An excellent idea, Alucard. I shall have an MRI arranged immediately.
